Restoration Complete

The restoration work on the entrance to the Peterborough County Courthouse is now complete!  The steps and top landing have been reconstructed using limestone from Owen Sound Ledgerock and the new handrails have been designed to be in keeping with the historic nature of the courthouse.  In addition, tactile attention indicators are provided at the top of the stairs.  A new requirement of the Ontario Building Code, tactile attention indicators serve to warn those who are blind or visually impaired of an upcoming hazard.
