Steel Erection at KIRC!

Milestone alert at the new Kitchener Indoor Recreation Centre for the City of Kitchener The steel erection is officially underway, with the first columns of the facility’s aquatic centre installed. At completion, the end-to-end length of the 17 aquatic centre trusses will be 580m (taller than the CN Tower!).

After months of excavation, formwork and geothermal works at RBJ Schlegel Park, we are now building up, and the surrounding community can now visualize progress above ground! Keep an eye out as the new indoor recreation complex makes its mark in Kitchener.
