Throwback Thursday: Zavitz Hall

Throwback Thursday: Zavitz Hall

In March 1989 Lett/Smith Architects (predecessor to Lett Architects) completed a feasibility study to renovate Zavitz Hall at the University of Guelph into the new School of Fine Art and Music. The critical approach for this project was to utilize attic and crawl-spaces to increase area. Ultimately a basement was formed from the crawl-space and the attics made into studios. Below is a picture of one of those studios. It has now been 25 years since completion of the renovations and the building still houses the School of Fine Art and Music.
