The Railyard Apartments is the first of four medium-density developments Ashburnham Realty is proposing for the East City area in Peterborough. The new six-storey, 76,500 sq. ft. building will feature a restaurant on the ground floor, with commercial tenants on the second floor. The remaining four upper-floors are a mix of one and two-bedroom apartment, with 40 units in total, many of which overlook the trail that bisects the site.

The development strives to enhance the existing Rotary Greenway trail to the east and create a public common along Hunter Street East. Construction is underway with occupancy expected in by the middle of 2022. When complete, the project will result in respectful densification in a beloved neighbourhood.
