Who Ian is
Ian’s professional journey has taken him across Canada, transitioning from designer to builder. With a background in art, he brings a creative perspective to every project, emphasizing innovative practices and thoughtful design. Before diving into architecture, Ian worked as a carpenter and project manager, providing him with helpful insights into the practical realization of architectural projects.
Outside of work, Ian cherishes time with his family, indulges in woodworking, and tackling various home renovation projects.

What Ian Does
As an Intermediate Project Lead, Ian guides projects from initial design concept through to construction and completion. He collaborates closely with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and trades, ensuring that each project is a harmonious blend of creativity and innovation. Ian's interest in building science, combined with his practical experience, makes him an indispensable asset to the Unity team.

“I have chosen to support the Youth Emergency Shelter. This organization provides support and shelter to youth and families in our community. By providing safe places to live, food and clothing, counselling, and an opportunity to complete high school education, this is a valuable local resource that relies on the generosity of the community to exist.”
